Editor's Pros & Cons
PROS: Warm up time is very fast at fifteen seconds, and five seconds faster when on standby. First copy time out is very quick at a starting of 3.6 seconds. For legal sized paper, the machine is capable of printing at thirty five pages per minute and at forty five pages per minute for letter sized papers. Proper shading accuracy can be maintained for low resolution imagery using the gray scale which runs at 256 levels.
An incredibly large volume of 999 copies can be made in a single run from the dual trays, with each copy electronically sorted as desired. In the event of very high volume print and copy needs, an optional paper bank which can hold close to 4000 sheets can be utilized. It possesses an auto switching feature which allows paper output source to be seamlessly switched between different paper sizes. This machine is capable of handling oversized A3 paper, thus making it suitable for producing large data charts and folded brochures. A small 50 sheet bypass special paper tray serves to compliment the dual paper trays with a capacity of 500 sheets each. Thus, you do not need to unload the regular paper, just switch to the bypass tray, for other paper sizes.
A bright LCD touch screen featuring an interface with multiple languages makes it convenient for anyone to navigate through the menus. The integrated multiple language LCD touch screen makes it very easy to navigate the different menus and features available. Output enlargement and reduction can be manipulated to degrees of 25-400%.
An optional Reverse Automatic Document Feeder (RADF) makes it possible to achieve double sided copies and two sided color scans. The RADF automatically flips paper so printing can be done on both sides.
Available internal memory can be utilized for storing data, text and images that are often used and need to be recalled from time to time. A standard duplexing feature gives room to reduce paper usage costs by as much as 50% by making copies on both sides of the paper.
The built-in memory which is up to 10 gigabytes can serve as storage and back-up for frequently used documents and images. CONS: Copy quality on this machine is not ideal for images, at a basic resolution of 600 x 600 dots per inch. Some of the superb features on this machine are optional, thus making you spend above the base price to enjoy them.
